ROUNDTABLE - The implementation of PMAQ and international P4P/PBF programs: and its effects on health system strengthening
(SIMULTANEOUS TRANSLATION) - 29/07/2018 / 11:50-13:10 - Grandes Tendas - Auditório David Capistrano - A s/n (300 pax)
Objective: This round table brings together international analyses in Health Policy and System Research (HPSR) on payment for performance/ financing-based programs (PBF / P4P) in low and middle income countries, as well as on the implementation / re-design of the Brazilian PMAQ. The intention is to allow a comparative reflection/debate on how these P4P / PBF programs can affect (or not) the strengthening of health systems. Considering also the relevant gap observed in the analysis / evaluation of the PMAQ in Brazil (Saddi and Peckham, 2017) and the consequent gap in HPSR studies linked to this Brazilian program, this round table is also an opportunity to bring the debate / knowledge on HPSR related to the P4P / PBF programs to Brazil.
